Dr. Michelle Parenteau

Associate Veterinarian

After a rewarding career as an Aerospace Engineer in the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Michelle Parenteau followed her passion for animals and the human-animal bond into veterinary medicine. Originally from Colorado, she has lived throughout the western U.S. before making North Carolina her home in 2019.

Dr. Parenteau has a special interest in behavioral medicine, as well as sports medicine and rehabilitation. She enjoys working with animals of all kinds—whether they have fur, feathers, scales, or hooves—and is dedicated to providing thoughtful, individualized care.

Outside of the clinic, she can be found training her dogs for competition, hiking, kayaking, or making what she affectionately calls “very bad art.” Dr. Parenteau lives on a small farm with her dogs, goats, horse, donkey, chickens, and cats—embracing the lively chaos that comes with it.
